ALLU AS 38H designed for difficult materials and conditions

ALLU AS 38H Windrow Turner is designed for the treatment of different materials, from compost to contaminated soil stabilization and mixing. The ALLU AS can be operated in the most difficult conditions and is presently at work in a number of countries worldwide from the Artic Circle to the Arabian Desert.

ALLU AS 38H, heavy duty design

ALLU AS 38H is a track driven machine powered by a diesel engine. The AS 38 can also handle mixing and aerating of heavy density materials and soils. Patented mixing drum The efficiency of the windrow turners is based on the patented mixing drum, which will give complete mixing and aeration with minimum power requirements. This is very important in order to speed up the working of micro organisms in the composting process. When the mixing and aeration is done often enough, it also essentially reduces the odor emissions from the composting.

Auto power drive

If the speed of the drum decreases under the adjusted limit the driving speed is automatically reduced in order to prevent the overload. When the overload is eliminated the driving speed returns automatically to the original power level without readjusting the joysticks.

Mixin drum

Unique patented construction of the drum with replaceable cutting edge makes it possible to handle heavy materials like contaminated soils with high capacity and low ware costs. Processing of contaminated soils on several locations has proved the effectiveness of the ALLU AS 38H frame and drum structure.

Safety and comfort

The user operates the machine from a fully equipped safety cabin. Thecabin can be lifted vertically about 5.6 ft (1,7 meters) allowing for aperfect view of the windrow material. The full equipped safety cabinein designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of demandingusers. The cabine can be easily lowered down during transportation.

The driving speed is variably controlled with two joysticks inside the cabin. Both tracks can be individually controlled which ensures a small turning radius and good controllability. The turner is delivered with a remote control unit, which ensures an easier and safer drive to and from a transportation platform.

Composting organic and green waste in USA

There are numerous sites that use the ALLU AS 38H in handling compost from green and organic waste. The ALLU AS 38H can turn large windrows and is easily transportable from site to site making high quality compost for cost-effective production.

Handling contaminated soil in USA

In this site the TNT contaminated soil is handled by ALLU AS 38H. The contaminated soil is from an army training area. The ALLU AS 38H mixes the material with e.g. industrial organic waste and other organic material to compost the soil.

Handling contaminated soil in UK

In UK the contaminated sludge was dredged from the sea bottom. The target was to clean the sludge by processing it with ALLU AS 38 and then build a blockhouse on the site.

Handling contaminated soil in Finland

Biomaa Oy is a Finnish company specializing in cleaning contaminated lands and composting. In the site in Finnish town Hyvinkää they compost waste water sludge from the close waste water purification station. The most commonly used mixing material is wood chips. The end product is used mainly in green construction.
